Cuisine, mon amour

La neve si è sciolta (era ora..!) le giornate si allungano verso nuovi tramonti e io comincio a circondarmi di colori vivaci, gialli, verdolini, azzurrini!

Cari amiche/amici del blog tanto bolle in pentola e tanti nuovi progetti (tutti molto quiltosi) mi ronzano in testa.

Presto vi mostrerò i lavori conclusi anche se per alcuni ci vuole un po' di pazienza :)

Oggi vi posto la foto di un centrotavola, che forse non sa molto di primavera, ma che ha quello stesso sapore delle tovagliette e delle presine che trovate qui.

La stoffa l'avevo trovata in un emporio tanto tempo fa, era una occasione davvero speciale...è davvero immensa..me l'hanno venduta come tovaglia ma secondo me erano almeno due di tovaglie...;) 

E' composta da scritte simili a quella che ho ritagliato (la vedete qua sotto) e poi ho applicato per farne un centrotavola.

Si possono fare tovagliette, presine, tendine...insomma, con un po' di fantasia, qui ce n'è per tutti i gusti ....!

Il contrasto tra  lo scampolo ikea grigio e bianco(sempre quello!) e il rosso del tessuto crea un effetto vivace e quella scritta "Cuisine" trovo che dia un delicatissimo tocco retrò e molto.....francese!

Finally the snow is gone....and i'm very happy of this!

The days get longer and have longer daylight hours and i'm ready for the Spring's colours!

I'm working on many project you will see very soon, and all of them are very "quilty", so i need some time to finish them and day i'll post them all...

In the meanwhile, today, i show you this tablecloth, a big one.

Very similar to the little tablecloth and hot pad i've done here.

The ikea fabric is the same, but the apliqque is different.

I've bought this fabric in a fabric's bazaar, it was on sale, and is full of these pictures as the one i show you below in the pictures

Is nice, isn 't it? 

I really love the writing "Cousine", it is so retrò and so...french!;)

Labrador & Paperotte

Oggi vorrei mostrarvi i soggetti che amo di più assieme agli adorati cavalli:i labrador e le papere! 

Di labrador ne abbiamo uno vero, la nostra Penny Lane, che avete già avuto modo di vedere sul blog.

Di paperotte ne è piena la casa. Sulle tovaglie, sui muri in delle belle stampe inglesi, a forma di peluche o di pupazzo, insomma in tutte le salse :) 

Ci piacciono perché ci danno un senso di tenerezza e morbidezza, e poi il verso che fanno è davvero così buffo!

Questi cuscini li ho cuciti recuperando le immagini da un pannello(adorati pure i pannelli!).

Ho creato poi una cornice con un colore caldo ...et voilà.

Son stata mesi per trovare il colore della cornice che andasse a pennello.

Ora li vedete un po' sul divano, un po' sulle sedie di vimini bianche (il cui recupero trovate qui), ma le foto le ho scattate sabato e domenica al mercatino labrador e stormo di papere se ne son volati via!;)

Però mi è rimasto quello con la coppia, che ha dei colori vivi, belli ed è anche così terribilmente romantico! 

Today i show you the things i love most.

The labrador, you know we have it alive, our lovely Penny Lane, wich i post very often, and then the ducks.

I don't know why, but the duks are everywhere in our home.On the walls, on the tablecloth, on the curtains....we love them because they are so sweet and their call is so amazing! :) 

I've sewed these pillows trought a panel, i cut the shape and then i find some fabric that match with the pictures.

Now you can see them on the sofa and on the wicker chairs

(do you remember their restyling? look here), but i took the pictures on saturday and on sunday, at the hand made market they flown away! :)

Only one remains, the one with the couple, very beautiful because of the color and so terribly romantic!

Presine & Tovagliette

Finalmente un po' di sole e anche un po' di tempo libero per cacciare tutti i pensieri di questi giorni e mettermi a scrivere sul mio amato blog!

In queste settimane ho concluso alcuni lavoretti con delle stoffe che avevo preso in merceria a novembre.

In realtà si tratta principalmente di un pannello, che ho ritagliato pazientemente..:) Con i disegni a forma di quadrato ho cucito delle presine e con i disegni rimasti.......bhè li ho ritagliati e li ho applicati su delle tovagliette all'americana create per l'occasione con alcuni scampoli Ikea.

Lo dico sempre che tutto torna utile! :)

In questo periodo di transizione verso la primavera- che i comuni mortali chiamano inverno ;)- mi sono ritrovata ad apprezzare tantissimo i contrasti del grigio, del bianco e..novità delle novità, del rosso.

Mi piace sempre più, perché su tinte più neutre dà quel guizzo in più, quella fiammella di colore, quel tocco di vita davvero piacevolissimo.

A voi i lavoretti stesi sul nostro tavolino molto etnico.
In casa è mio marito ad essere decisamente amante dell'oriente, però, nonostante io prediliga colori più freddi e nordici,devo dire che mi sento proprio tanto affascinata da questi toni scuri e caldi  e da questo accostamento.

Finally a little bit of sun and some time for relaxing and writing here on my loved blog.

These days i sewed something new with some fabrics i 've bought in november, in a fabric store here in my city.

It is a panel with a lot of patterns, i cutted all the squared pictures and made some cloths for cooking

( i don't know what are their name in english).Then i cutted all the shapes of  the teapot and the cups and with the applique i made two placemats.

The fabrics grey and withe is a renmant of Ikea fabrics.

All is useful in my house! :)

In this time forward the Spring season i realize i love so much the grey, the white, and the red.

This is on my opinion the right color to give a vivid and intens result to all the work!

I love the final contrast!
